The responsible use of energy is becoming more and more important and therefore also influences developments in mechanical engineering. With the ServoOne CM, machine builders get a servo drive system that offers them many options for increasing the energy efficiency of their machines. ServoOne CM is a multi-axis system, which means that one supply unit supplies all connected servo controllers and frequency inverters with energy. This means that axes running in generator mode can supply motor axes with energy. Both the power consumed from the mains and the braking power are reduced. If larger amounts of braking energy are still generated, ServoOne CM also offers active supply units that are capable of sinusoidally feeding regenerative energy back into the grid and thus improving the energy balance of the machine. Alternatively, memory managers and memory modules are available, which store this regenerative energy and make it available to the system again as required. In addition to energy savings, it is also possible to operate a machine for several minutes after a power failure if the project planning is suitable, in order to complete a process once it has been started.
